Healios is a nutrient-based solution for people going through cancer treatment, who are at risk of developing, or currently experiencing oral mucositis/cancer mouth sores. It was developed by hematologist-oncologist Dr. Peter Anderson to address the epithelial cellular damage caused by cancer treatments. Healios contains L-glutamine as the active ingredient and it comes as a powder that can be mixed with water to form a swish-and-swallow solution. The product is available in three different flavors (orange, grape, and unflavored) through Enlivity, a medical nutrition company focused on cancer supportive care products that help alleviate treatment side effects.
