About Us

Project 528 is the first-ever global survey of young adults with breast cancer. Can you believe this has never been done before!?! This is a big deal and YSC is leading the charge. Project 528 is named for the estimated 528,018 young adults living with breast cancer around the globe. It is a comprehensive global survey that has been developed by a Global Collaborative of patient advocacy organizations to identify the gaps in our collective knowledge and craft questions to address them. The survey will identify and understand the most pressing needs of young people diagnosed with breast cancer, their caregivers, and the healthcare providers that support them. It’s time for the people impacted by breast cancer (that’s you!) to have their voice heard! The results from Project 528 will be used to shape global research, healthcare policy and programs for young adults with breast cancer. The survey will be translated into 8 languages and distributed globally. Whether you’re in Paris, Cairo, or Louisville, you were probably one of the youngest people in your oncologist’s office. Your breast cancer experiences share common challenges. Sharing your experience can help the estimated 500,000 young women across the world who will experience a breast cancer diagnosis in the next 5 years.
